Armour Shield Roofing Services Coalville provides Velux and skylight installation across Ibstock and the surrounding Leicestershire area. Free, no-obligation quotes, £5 million public liability insurance, and a 15-year written workmanship guarantee.
Many of Ibstock’s older terraces are two-up two-downs with nowhere to grow but into the loft, and because the front slope faces the street — High Street, Melbourne Road — a roof window usually goes in the rear slope, above a loft room or the stair. Slate needs a slim, recessed flashing kit rather than the deep-profile one used on interlocking tiles, and the opening is framed between the existing rafters so the structure stays sound. The semis and newer estates ask for something different: a skylight above an internal bathroom, or a flat-roof light over a kitchen extension, each usually a one-day fit.
Velux and roof-window installation starts from around £695; a standard supply-and-fit commonly runs £695–£1,800 depending on size, access and finishing. Free fixed quote. Full price ranges →
