Roof Repairs
A roof repair fixes a localised fault — a leak, slipped or broken tiles, failed flashing, or storm damage — before water can reach your timbers, insulation and ceilings.
Learn more →A full roof survey flown by a CAA-registered drone operator — no scaffolding, no ladders, no disruption. High-resolution footage and photos of every part of your roof, with a written condition report once the imagery has been reviewed.
Free for property owners when quoting for work. Pre-purchase drone surveys £149. See full price ranges for every job →
Spotting these early usually means a smaller, cheaper job. If any sound familiar, it's worth getting the roof looked at.
A standalone drone survey with 4K footage, photos and a written condition report — ideal for insurance, a house purchase, or simply understanding the condition of your roof.
The survey plus a fixed written quote for any repair or replacement work we identify — free of charge when we are quoting on a property you own.
A straightforward, no-pressure process from first call to finished job.
Yes. Westley Goodman is registered with the Civil Aviation Authority as a drone operator, so aerial roof surveys are flown legally and within the CAA’s rules, and the business carries £5 million public liability insurance. Using an unregistered operator can call into question both the legality of the flight and any reliance an insurer places on the results.
No. Drones cannot be flown safely in heavy rain, fog or strong winds, and we will not risk your property or the equipment. If conditions are unsuitable on the day, the flight is rearranged for the next safe window.
Almost everywhere, once the airspace has been checked. Most of Coalville, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Ibstock, Loughborough and Groby is open to a properly planned flight. The villages closest to East Midlands Airport, north of Shepshed, may sit within the airport’s flight restriction zone, where permission from the airport is needed before a drone can take off — which is why the site assessment comes first.
You get 4K video and high-resolution still photos of every roof elevation, plus a written report identifying any defects we find — slipped or broken tiles, failed lead and flashing, blocked or damaged valleys, moss build-up, and the general condition of the covering, ridges and chimney.
Yes. A dated, photographic condition report is useful evidence for insurance claims (for example after storm damage) and for buyers or sellers who want an independent view of a roof before committing. The report and imagery are yours to keep and share.
For most roofs a drone survey gives a thorough, safe overview without scaffolding or ladders. For some repairs we may still need hands-on access to confirm a fix — for example checking the timbers from inside the loft. We will always tell you honestly if a closer physical inspection is needed.
If you own the property and we are quoting for work, the survey is free. For pre-purchase surveys — a house you are buying rather than one you already own — it is £149.
Yes. Where conditions and airspace allow, we can photograph completed work from the air — ridges, valleys, chimney flashings — so you can see what was done without leaving the ground. Just ask when you book.
