Armour Shield Roofing Services Coalville provides chimney repairs and repointing across Groby and the surrounding Leicestershire area. Free, no-obligation quotes, £5 million public liability insurance, and a 15-year written workmanship guarantee.
Around Groby Old Hall and the castle mound beside it, the chimney stacks are tall and a century or more old, wanting careful repointing and fresh flaunching under the pots without damaging soft old brick. Out on the estates the job is different: the typical 1960s chimney is a squat stack serving a long-gone open fire, its mortar washed out and its flashing lifting — a leak waiting to happen above a bedroom. We repoint and re-flash the ones worth keeping, fit cowls so rain stops running down disused flues, and take down and tile over redundant stacks where that makes sense.
Small chimney repairs — pointing, flaunching or a new lead flashing — start from around £150; a full repoint (including flaunching) commonly ranges £350–£800 depending on access and scope. Rebuilds are quoted individually. Free fixed quote. Full price ranges →
